As a child, I spent many evenings crocheting with my grandmother.  I loved our time together.  As I got older and my grandmother was no longer my babysitter, my crafting time was replaced with homework, sports, and friends.  Every once in a while, I picked up a crochet hook but the only thing I remembered how to do was a chain stitch.  My grandma has since passed, but I cherish the fond memories of time spent with her.  I still have her crochet hooks, our projects, and the amigurumi creatures she made for me.  

Recently I turned 50.  I took a new job in a new state, moving across the country.  My husband and I became empty-nesters, with two kids away.  Thanks to the Woobles, I was able to learn how to crochet again and even learned how to read a pattern!  Following many crochet pages on social media, I was able to learn more from the generosity of others.  Soon, I felt comfortable enough with crocheting that I was even able to create some of my own patterns.  

Cow Belle Crochet & Crafts was started in February 2023 thanks to the encouragement and support of my husband, daughter, and son.  

• February = the birth month of my grandmother and my kids 💜

• Cow = the first non-Wooble amigurumi I made since relearning how to crochet 

• Belle = in Feb 2020, we adopted two foster kittens.  The girl, Belle, chose me as her person and was by my side every day through Covid work-from-home.  She was my own little angel, providing me with much comfort through Covid.  Sadly, she was killed before making the move with us across the country but she is always in heart. 💗
